Regensburg is a medieval town located along the Danube River in Bavaria. Its history as a trading centre and influence on the region date back to the 9th century and was one of the centres of the Holy Roman Empire that converted to Protestantism. Most of the buildings conserved here date back to the 11th - 13th century CE, including ancient Roman, Romanesque, and Gothic architecture. 984 of the buildings here are listed under the UNESCO WHS listing.

Historic Centre of the City of Salzburg

This WHS is located in the state of Salzburg. The city of Salzburg developed between the Middle Ages and the 19th century, when it was a city-state. The historic centre of the city is renowned for its Baroque architecture and Flamboyant Gothic art on both ecclesiastical and secular buildings, a result of it being an intersection of German and Italian cultures. The city is also associated with many artists and musicians, with the most famous being, arguably, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Speicherstadt and Kontorhaus District with Chilehaus

Speichcherstadt and Kontorhaus are two adjacent districts in the port-city and state of Hamburg. The former was constructed on a group of islands in the Elbe River between 1885CE and 1927CE, and partially rebuilt from 1949CE to 1967CE. It consists of a number of very large warehouses and ancillary buildings as well as network of short canals. Kontorhaus, anchored on the iconic Chilehaus, consists of very large office complexes housing port-related businesses. This WHS is evidence of the effects of growth in international trade in the late 19th and early 20th century.

Ujung Kulon National Park

Ujung Kulon National Park is located in the province of Banten, on the southwestern tip of Java island and includes several offshore islands. The site is important for being home to a rich biodiversity of flora and fauna, including many endangered species. One of the offshore islands that is part of the park is the volcanic island of Krakatua, whose eruption in 1883 led to devastating effects and impacts. Thence, the park is also of important geological scientific interest.
